I read lots of books.  At once.  So in all honesty, I read little bits of lots of books.  There are usually two or three that are frontrunners and travel from the bedside table (which I confess, is a filing cabinet with a piece of wood over the top to keep the metal from caving in from the weight of the books) to my bag to my other bag back to the table.  Sometimes the books fall on me.  That makes me a little sad.  Here’s what’s on the bedside table right now, in no particular order:

Stop Time, Frank Conroy

The Heart Goes Last, Margaret Atwood

Counting Descent, Clint Smith

Her Last Death, Susanna Sonnenberg

The Aesthetic Brain, Anjan Chatterjee

The Mother of All Questions, Rebecca Solnit

Comfort, Anne Hood

Narrative Medicine Anthology, Edited by Tom Janisse

Queering Sexual Violence, edited by Jennifer Patterson

Self Comes to Mind, Antonio Damasio

What is Found There, Adrienne Rich

Home Ground, edited by Barry Lopez & Debra Gwartney
