I read lots of books.  At once.  So in all honesty, I read little bits of lots of books.  There are usually two or three that are frontrunners and travel from the bedside table (which I confess, is a filing cabinet with a piece of wood over the top to keep the metal from caving in from the weight of the books) to my bag to my other bag back to the table.  Sometimes the books fall on me.  That makes me a little sad.  Here’s what’s on the bedside table right now, in no particular order:

Salvage, Cynthia Dewi Oka

Testify, Simone John

Whereas,  Layli Long Soldier

In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts, Gabor Mate

Counting Descent, Clint Smith

The Storytelling Animal, Jonathan Gottschall

The Aesthetic Brain, Anjan Chatterjee

No Time to Spare, Ursula K. LeGuin

Queering Sexual Violence, edited by Jennifer Patterson

Home Ground, edited by Barry Lopez & Debra Gwartney
